Great conference table for Lindenaar & Co
When Jacqueline, Paul and Erik from Utrecht-based Lindenaar & Co entered the DroomHout design studio, they didn't even have a good collective idea of what they wanted.
It was clear that the stately meeting room of the beautiful building on Emmalaan could use a strong statement, but it was not yet clear what style the gigantic meeting table should become, opinions differed considerably.
In a number of short, powerful sessions with the DroomHout design team, the idea arose to create a super sleek and minimalist design of solid wood in which the apparently floating, almost six centimeter solid top would extend to the ground on one side. The choice was made for a medium rustic European oak finish with a beautiful flamboyant pattern and finished with a natural hard wax oil.
Operation
Making this mighty conference table was one thing, transporting it to the second floor was a real logistical operation. With its impressive dimensions of no less than 450 by 140 centimeters, the conference table did not fit through the stairwell. It was considered to deliver the table in two parts, but Lindenaar & Co rightly did not want to make any concessions to the beautiful one-piece top. What remained was transport by means of a moving crane via the rear of the building, it all fit just fine, but the conference table emerged undamaged. In the photos you can see the very tasteful result, the Eames designer chairs complete the picture, nothing stands in the way of many inspiring and pleasant meetings in the future.
