You heard us mention the term "scaffolding wood" a few times already. A long time ago, we made this Montecastelli lounge set from new and old scaffolding wood. At that time, there was a high demand for scaffolding wood, but unfortunately, it only lasted about five years. Today, we exclusively use the much more durable, smoother, and more beautiful Douglas fir wood. This Douglas fir wood lasts more than twice as long, with an expected lifespan of approximately 10-15 years. To maintain the successful design, we apply Douglas fir wood in the size of a scaffolding plank, namely 20 cm wide. In short, it is Douglas fir wood in the format of a scaffolding plank.

Nice thick lounge cushions
The included lounge cushions from the DroomHout house collection can be fully personalized. Choose your dream fabric and let us know which one it is. The advantage of these fabrics is that because they contain polyester, the lounge cushions fade less quickly than cotton covers. The generous lounge cushions have a seat size of no less than 70 x 70 cm with a thickness of 12 cm, which is larger and thicker than almost all other lounge cushions available on the market.
Small rain shower no problem - lounge cushions are washable
Although we advise storing the cushions indoors or in a dry place during prolonged rain, the DroomHout lounge cushions can handle a small splash of rain perfectly. With a little sun, they usually dry quickly. And if a stain does appear on your lounge cushion, the covers are removable and washable, simply in the washing machine at 30 degrees. This way, your lounge cushions will easily stay clean for a long time. The lounge cushions have a linen look and are available in light grey and anthracite.
Maintenance-free lounge set - can stay outside all year round
You need to do little to no maintenance on your lounge set. The best thing is to simply place the set in an open, sunny spot all year round, so that the sun and wind keep the wood nice and dry. Covering it with a cover is also not necessary. Because the Douglas fir planks are quite thick themselves, namely 36 mm, your lounge set will last for years.
From two-seater to three-seater corner sofa
Of course, it is also possible to get the corner set with a three-seater sofa, or even with 2 three-seater sofas. The length of the 3-seater sofa is then 210 cm. If this also fits in your garden, simply upgrade that set to a 5-seater or 6-seater lounge set!

This works as follows:
1) visit the Sunbrella website and choose your favorite color from the Cliff, Natte, Solids, or Stripes series. We also have all colors as swatches in our showroom, so you can always come and see the color in real life via https://tidycal.com/showroom/droomhout;
2) you indicate your choice in the comments with your order or separately by email to us.
The delivery time for the cushions (and thus the entire furniture) is currently approximately 3-4 weeks after ordering/receiving the (down) payment.
In addition to the wide range of colors, Sunbrella fabric has the added nice advantage of being a water-resistant fabric. These lounge cushions can therefore be left outside all year round.
